Pakistan's Privatisation Commission has received 12 expressions of interest from prospective investors looking to acquire a controlling stake in the Federal Express Corporation (Fesco).
The bidders, comprising both domestic and international entities, are seeking ownership ranging from 51% to 100% of the state-owned shipping company, along with full management control.
The commission confirmed the strong response on Friday, signaling renewed investor appetite for Pakistan's state-owned assets.
The interest in Fesco comes as the government continues its broader privatisation drive to reduce fiscal burdens and attract foreign capital.
The process aims to transfer operational control to private hands, potentially improving efficiency and service delivery in the maritime sector.
This development follows earlier reports of international interest in other Pakistani state-owned enterprises, including TPL Trakker Limited, a subsidiary of the Pakistan Telecommunication Company.
