Chinese humanoid robot manufacturer Unitree Robotics, operating under the legal name Yushu Technology, is preparing to raise approximately 6.1 billion yuan ($904 million) through an initial public offering on the Shanghai Stock Exchange.
The planned listing marks a significant milestone for the company, which has emerged as a dominant player in the rapidly expanding Chinese robotics sector.
According to Handelsblatt, the IPO would make Unitree the first publicly traded company in the humanoid robotics space in China, providing investors with direct exposure to the technology's commercialization.
The move follows earlier reports that Unitree secured regulatory approval from China's securities watchdog to list on the Shanghai exchange.
That approval was widely viewed as establishing a critical valuation benchmark for the country's embodied AI and robotics industry.
By moving to a public listing, Unitree aims to capitalize on growing investor interest in automation and artificial intelligence applications, while also providing liquidity for early investors and founders.
