The European Union has cleared Paramount Global’s proposed $111 billion acquisition of Warner Bros.

The clearance follows the United States Department of Justice granting final approval earlier this week, effectively concluding the antitrust review process across the two largest markets for the media conglomerates.

With both the US and EU regulators now on board, Paramount Global is positioned to close the transaction.

The merger will combine Paramount’s film and television assets with Warner Bros.

Discovery’s extensive library and streaming platforms, creating one of the largest media entities in the world.
