GE Vernova T&D India has reported a significant jump in profitability for the first quarter of fiscal 2027, with net profit rising nearly 25% to ₹362.99 crore for the June quarter.
The result compares with net profit of ₹291.2 crore in the corresponding period last year, according to an exchange filing.
Total income for the unit also rose significantly during the period.
The strong quarterly performance highlights the continued momentum in India’s power infrastructure sector, where demand for transmission and distribution equipment remains robust.
GE Vernova’s Indian subsidiary is a key player in the high-voltage direct current (HVDC) and grid modernization markets, benefiting from ongoing government and private investment in grid expansion.
While the parent company, GE Vernova, has faced mixed market reactions recently — with shares falling in premarket trading despite a raised revenue outlook — the Indian unit’s standalone results suggest underlying operational strength in the region.
