Israel has approved a 113 million shekel ($37m) allocation to seize more than 70 sites in the occupied West Bank, according to a report by Al Jazeera.
Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich announced the funding, which aims to accelerate Israeli control over historical landmarks in the region.
The move represents a significant escalation in the government's efforts to consolidate its presence in the West Bank.
The allocated funds are specifically targeted at securing sites that have been subject to disputes over ownership and access.
This development follows previous government actions to expand settlement infrastructure.
Earlier reports indicated that the Israeli Knesset Security Cabinet had approved a budget proposal of NIS 1.3 million to establish 34 new settlements in the West Bank.
