Peru's Ministry of Economy and Finance has finalized its senior leadership team with the appointment of Fabrizio Orrego Peche as Vice Minister of Economy and Erick Lahura as Vice Minister of Finance.

The designations complete the upper echelon of the ministry under Minister Elmer Cuba, who was sworn in just days ago.

The appointments signal the end of the transitional phase for the economic ministry, allowing the administration to move forward with its legislative agenda.

Orrego and Lahura will now oversee the technical preparation of the 2027 national budget and the implementation of the government's economic policy framework.

Handelsavisen previously reported that Minister Cuba began appointing key officials immediately after taking office, marking the initial steps in reshaping the country's economic direction.

The completion of the top-tier team provides clarity on the personnel who will drive fiscal and monetary coordination in the coming year.
