Portuguese motorists are set to see a significant relief at the pump next week, with diesel and gasoline prices projected to fall by more than 10 cents per litre.
The Automóvel Club of Portugal (ACP) estimates that diesel will drop by 12 cents to €1.931 per litre, while gasoline is expected to decline by 12.5 cents to €1.855 per litre.
This marks the steepest weekly correction in fuel costs in recent months, reversing a prolonged period of price increases that have weighed on consumer spending and logistics costs.
The forecast assumes current international oil trends persist through the weekend.
Brent crude and other global benchmarks have softened, providing the underlying support for the domestic price cut.
However, the final figures will be confirmed by the Portuguese Institute for Security and Quality (ISP) on Monday, which calculates the official weekly price caps based on international market movements and exchange rates.
