The Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM) has withdrawn a formal letter to the Indian Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas that raised alarms over fuel quality in the country's E20 petrol blend.

The industry association stated that the retraction was necessary due to the need for further data authentication and closer collaboration with original equipment manufacturers (OEMs).
