Swedish consumer price inflation is expected to decline significantly in July, according to forecasts from bank economists.

The anticipated drop is largely attributed to lower energy prices and the impact of political decisions, including subsidized monthly public transport passes, which are expected to weigh on the headline figure.

Statistics Sweden (SCB) is scheduled to release its rapid KPI estimate for July at 08:00 on Thursday.

This preliminary data will provide the first indication of the monthly inflation trend.

Bank economists surveyed by Infront/Direkt point to a "very low" inflation reading, suggesting that the cooling momentum observed in previous months is likely to persist.

The forecast follows a June report where Sweden's headline inflation rate fell, albeit by a smaller margin than market consensus had anticipated.
