Gasoline prices in Spain have risen for a fifth consecutive week, approaching their highest level of the year.
The average price at the pump between July 27 and August 3 stood at EUR 1.69 per liter, according to data reported by Cinco Días.
Diesel costs also climbed, reaching EUR 1.79 per liter, marking the highest reading in four months.
The sustained increase in retail fuel costs underscores the persistent pressure on European energy markets.
While global crude benchmarks have seen volatility, the pass-through to consumers remains acute in several EU member states.
This trend aligns with broader regional patterns, where fuel prices have been a significant contributor to inflationary pressures.
