Spanish airline Air Europa has launched its inaugural scheduled service into sub-Saharan Africa, establishing a direct air corridor between Madrid and Johannesburg.
The new route marks the carrier's first entry into the region, aiming to strengthen connectivity across Southern Africa and support tourism expansion.
The service is operated in partnership with CemAir, a South African regional airline, and South African Tourism.
This collaboration allows Air Europa to extend its network reach while leveraging local expertise to manage operations on the ground.
