Greece’s Aktor Group and Motor Oil have entered into exclusive negotiations regarding a significant strategic partnership that spans waste management and energy infrastructure.
The companies confirmed they are discussing Aktor’s acquisition of a 75% stake in Helector and Thalis, two firms specializing in waste management and environmental services.
The talks also encompass a collaborative project to develop a second floating storage and regasification unit (FSRU) in Greece.
This energy infrastructure component is central to the broader agreement, linking Aktor’s industrial expansion with Motor Oil’s gas supply capabilities.
The move signals a deepening integration between Greece’s largest industrial conglomerate and its leading energy refiner.
The development follows earlier reports of discussions between the two entities regarding potential cooperation on the Hellektor and Thalis projects.
