Albanian businessman Behgjet Pacolli has formally requested an investigation by the Special Anti-Corruption Structure (SPAK) regarding the Vloras airport construction site.
Pacolli, president of Mabco, stated that his company returned to the site after a five-week absence to find the facility in a state of disrepair, alleging that the property had been seized illegally.
The claim follows a period of heightened tension at the project location.
Earlier reports indicated physical clashes between Mabco employees and a private security firm operating at the site.
Pacolli’s latest statement frames the damage not merely as a labor dispute but as a targeted act requiring judicial scrutiny.
The Vloras airport project remains a focal point for infrastructure investment in Albania, with stability at the construction site critical for meeting development timelines.
