Binance will halt cryptocurrency services in France and several other European Union member states starting July 1, 2026.

The global exchange announced the suspension after failing to obtain the necessary authorization under the EU’s Markets in Crypto-Assets (MiCA) regulation by the statutory deadline.

Binance France stated it is no longer able to onboard new users and will cease offering crypto-asset services in the country from the specified date.

The move reflects the tightening enforcement of MiCA, which requires crypto service providers to hold specific licenses to operate within the bloc.

The suspension affects multiple jurisdictions, signaling a broader retreat from markets where regulatory compliance has not been finalized.

This development underscores the increasing friction between major crypto exchanges and European regulators.
