Droppie, a Dutch recycling retailer, has announced plans to expand its network to dozens of shopping centers across the Netherlands.
The company currently operates in the four major cities, allowing customers to return various types of waste for small financial compensation.
The expansion is supported by a multi-million euro investment and backing from Verpact, a packaging organization.
The initiative aims to make it easier for consumers outside the major urban centers to return items such as old routers and used frying oil for payment.
This move aligns with broader efforts to increase recycling rates and provide convenient waste disposal options for households.
The expansion represents a significant step in scaling the circular economy model in the retail sector.
