Mars has released the findings of its Pet-Friendly Advantage (PFA) report to mark Bring Your Dog to Work Day. The survey, conducted by Censuswide among 16,000 employees across 16 European countries, including Greece, explores attitudes towards and expectations of pet-friendly workplaces.

The findings highlight pet-friendly policies as an important factor in boosting employee morale, shaping a modern workplace culture, and attracting new talent.

3% say that pet-friendly policies would be a deciding factor when choosing their next employer.

The report confirms the increasingly significant role pets play in creating a positive workplace experience. Across Europe:

Greek employees not only reflect the broader European trend towards pet-friendly workplaces but, in some areas, appear to be even stronger advocates of such policies:

In Greece, younger generations are particularly likely to associate these practices with a progressive workplace culture. Among Generation Z employees (aged 18–24), 38.1% view such policies as a tangible demonstration of an employer's concern for employees' quality of life, while 34.9% associate them with an attractive working environment. Meanwhile, among those aged 25–34, 24.3% say that pet-friendly policies would be a deciding factor when choosing their next employer.

"The findings of this latest report confirm that pet-friendly policies are no longer viewed as a secondary workplace benefit but as a key factor influencing employees' decisions. On the occasion of Bring Your Dog to Work Day—an initiative that reflects our philosophy—at Mars, we believe that the bond between people and pets should not be confined to a single day each year, but should form part of a modern, inclusive and supportive workplace culture. With our continued commitment to creating a better world for pets, we believe that initiatives such as these enhance the overall employee experience," said Sara Giordano, Market Director of Mars Pet Nutrition for Greece, the Balkans and Israel.
