Cement prices in India are projected to remain largely unchanged in July, as the onset of the monsoon season and persistent weakness in underlying demand continue to suppress the sector's pricing power.

A report by Centrum indicates that while the market saw a marginal increase in June—driven by delayed rains and quarter-end sales pushes—dealers anticipate a return to flat pricing for the coming month.

The seasonal slowdown is expected to outweigh any short-term supply-side adjustments.

The outlook comes as the Indian monsoon enters a revival phase, with meteorological data showing the rain belt expanding across central India, western India, and the west coast.

This follows a period of below-average rainfall, which had briefly supported construction activity earlier in the month.

However, the return of consistent rains is likely to disrupt site operations and dampen immediate material requirements.
