Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian is set to travel to Pakistan on Tuesday for a one-day visit, marking his first trip abroad since 2025.

The state-affiliated Tasnim news agency confirmed the itinerary, which comes at a critical juncture in regional diplomacy.

The visit follows the formal signing of a comprehensive peace agreement between the United States and Iran in Switzerland on June 19.

Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif previously confirmed the details of the accord, positioning Islamabad as a key facilitator in the renewed diplomatic efforts between Washington and Tehran.

President Pezeshkian’s engagement in Pakistan is expected to focus on consolidating the gains from the recent peace deal.

The trip underscores the strategic importance of South Asian partnerships in stabilizing the region as Iran moves to implement the terms of the agreement with the US.
