According to jamaicaobserver_biz, KINGSTON, Jamaica—National women's 200m champion Alana Reid and former two-time World Under-20 100m hurdles gold medalist Kerrica Hill have been named on the Jamaican team to compete at the NACAC U18/U23 Athletics Championships at the Una Nueva Historia Sports Complex Stadium in Mexico, scheduled for July 10–12. Fifty-two athletes were selected for the team from the results of last weekend's National Junior/Senior Championships at the national stadium. Reid, who holds the national Under-20 100m record and won the World Under-20 100m gold in Lima, Peru in 2024, is set to contest the 200m while Lavanya Williams and Sabrina Dockery were named for the 100m. Hill and Alexis James who placed second behind her at the World Under-20 in Cali, Colombia in 2022 are set to contest the 100m hurdles. Kai Kelly, Jason Pitter, Marquis Page and Kamari Kennedy are part of the Under-18 boys' team while Malayia Duncan, Zavien Bernard and Daniella Dixon were named on the Under-18 girls' team.
