NHL forward JJ Peterka has officially opened the Peterka Arena in his hometown of Buchbach, Upper Bavaria.

The 24-year-old Utah Mammoth player's new private facility features a full-size ice rink designed for year-round training, alongside a world-first "Skillcourt" installed directly on the ice surface.

The venue aims to provide elite-level development conditions for local winter sports athletes, operating under a summer-training mandate to bridge seasonal conditioning gaps.

The opening marks a significant private investment in regional sports infrastructure, leveraging Peterka's professional status to establish a dedicated training hub.

The facility's proprietary ice technology and extended operational hours are intended to standardize year-round conditioning for aspiring professionals, potentially influencing regional training models and private sports real estate development.
