Patrons can enjoy a Wine and Cheese reception beginning at 7:00 pm, followed by the auction at 8:00 pm. Recognised as Jamaica's longest-running local art auction, the event was first held on May 1, 1993, in the ballroom at King's House under the patronage of then Governor General Sir Howard Cooke. Over the years, the auction has showcased works by some of Jamaica's most celebrated artists, including Barry Watson, Hilroy Bulgin—whose piece was the first artwork sold at the inaugural auction—Richard Hall, Lennox Coke, Albert Huie, Osmond Watson, Milton George, Ras Dizzy, Susan Shirley, Guy McIntosh, Robert Armstrong, David Pottinger, and Stafford Schiefer.
