According to v5_clubofmozambique_com, the Speaker of Mozambique’s Assembly of the Republic, Margarida Talapa, is in Baku, Republic of Azerbaijan, from today until Friday to participate in the 20th Session of the Conference of the Parliamentary Union of the Member States of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC).

The conference will discuss issues including human rights, the economy, the environment and dialogue between civilisations.

The aim is to harmonise the positions of member states in international forums while promoting the sovereignty of peoples and multilateral cooperation.

Held under the theme “ Promoting Sustainable and Inclusive Economic Development in OIC Member States through Parliamentary Cooperation ”, the event will bring together more than 400 participants, including over 40 parliamentary delegations, parliamentary speakers from more than 10 countries, as well as representatives of 10 international organisations.
