The Central Communication Port (CPK) has announced a significant upward revision to the scale of its flagship Port Polska project, specifically regarding the airport component in Baranów.
The state-owned developer confirmed that the terminal's annual passenger capacity will be increased from the previously planned 34 million to 44 million passengers.
This adjustment represents a substantial expansion of the infrastructure's intended footprint and operational scope.
Dariusz Kuś, a member of CPK's management board, outlined the rationale behind the changes, indicating that the revised design better aligns with long-term traffic forecasts and strategic goals for the national transport hub.
The decision to enlarge the facility comes as the project moves from planning into early construction phases, signaling a commitment to a larger-scale infrastructure investment than initially disclosed.
