Smartworks Coworking Spaces Ltd has announced plans to acquire Singapore-based Workstudio Spaces, marking a strategic expansion into the Southeast Asian market.

The Indian flexible workspace operator confirmed the deal in a regulatory filing on Thursday, outlining its intent to integrate the Singaporean entity into its growing network.

The transaction is expected to close in July 2026, according to the filing.

Smartworks did not disclose the financial terms or the total value of the acquisition, leaving the scale of the investment unclear to investors.

The move aligns with broader trends in the commercial real estate sector, where operators are increasingly pursuing cross-border mergers to achieve scale and diversify revenue streams beyond domestic markets.

Workstudio Spaces, a Singapore-based provider of flexible office solutions, will become part of Smartworks' international portfolio.
