Aktor and Motor Oil have moved to accelerate a strategic partnership centered on the development of a second floating storage and regasification unit (FSRU) in Greece.
The deal involves Aktor acquiring a 50% stake in the project vehicle, Dioryga GAS, marking a concrete step forward in infrastructure that aims to strengthen energy security across Southeast Europe.
This development follows earlier reports that the two companies were holding exclusive negotiations regarding a broader collaboration.
The partnership is expected to span not only the new FSRU but also other key energy and waste management initiatives, including the Hellektor and Thalis projects.
By formalizing their involvement in the gas infrastructure, the firms are addressing critical supply chain vulnerabilities in the region.
The push for additional regasification capacity comes as European markets continue to prioritize supply diversification and infrastructure resilience.
