Angelicoussis Group has taken delivery of a third dual-fuel Suezmax tanker, further expanding its modern fleet capacity.

The 155,500-deadweight-tonne vessel was built by New Times Shipbuilding Co., Ltd. in China and sails under the Greek flag.

The addition strengthens Maran Tankers' portfolio of energy-efficient assets, aligning with broader industry trends toward cleaner and more flexible propulsion systems.

The move comes amid heightened scrutiny of shipping routes and geopolitical pressures on global trade corridors.

Recent incidents, including drone strikes on tankers in the Azov-Black Sea Canal, have underscored the risks facing maritime transport.

As operators navigate these challenges, the deployment of modern, dual-fuel tankers offers a strategic advantage in terms of both operational efficiency and risk mitigation.
