Energy exports represented more than 15% of Argentina’s total export volume during the six-month period.

Energy exports represented more than 15% of Argentina’s total export volume during the six-month period.

This concentration reflects the growing weight of the Vaca Muerta shale formation and increased LNG export capacity, which have transformed the energy sector from a net importer to a primary driver of foreign currency inflows.

The surge in energy revenues has provided a critical buffer against volatility in other parts of the trade balance.
