Ashok Leyland has entered into a partnership with Rosmerta Recycling to facilitate the scrapping of commercial vehicles, aiming to provide customers with a seamless and eco-friendly disposal process.

The collaboration is designed to support the Indian government's voluntary vehicle modernisation programme, which incentivises the replacement of older, high-emission vehicles with more efficient alternatives.

The agreement addresses a critical gap in the commercial vehicle lifecycle, where end-of-life disposal has often been fragmented and inefficient.

By integrating recycling services directly into its customer support ecosystem, Ashok Leyland seeks to enhance service offerings while promoting environmental compliance.

This move is particularly relevant for fleet operators who face increasing regulatory pressure to reduce carbon footprints and adhere to stricter emission norms.

The partnership underscores a broader shift in the automotive sector towards circular economy principles.
