Bank Asia PLC has launched "Bank Asia ZEN," an enhanced version of its mobile banking application, marking a new phase in the lender's digital transformation efforts.

Managing Director Sohail RK Hussain inaugurated the platform at the bank's headquarters in Dhaka, signaling a continued push to modernize customer-facing infrastructure.

The release of the upgraded app aligns with the bank's broader strategic objective to deepen its engagement with retail customers and small and medium-sized enterprises.

By improving the digital user experience, Bank Asia aims to lower barriers to entry for smaller borrowers and streamline service delivery for its existing retail base.

This development builds on the bank's previously stated target to increase the share of SMEs and retail businesses in its total loan portfolio to 40 percent within the next three to four years.

The digital platform is expected to serve as a key channel for acquiring and servicing these segments, which are critical to the bank's growth strategy in a competitive market.
