Egypt’s Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, Karim Badawi, is set to travel to Amman on Sunday for a one-day visit focused on energy cooperation.

He will hold talks with Jordan’s Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources, Saleh al-Kharabsheh, to discuss potential avenues for collaboration in the gas sector.

The meeting underscores both nations’ interest in strengthening regional energy links at a time when supply dynamics across the Middle East are undergoing significant shifts.

The discussions come as broader geopolitical and market factors influence energy flows in the region.

Recent developments, including diplomatic progress between the US and Iran, have contributed to easing supply fears and impacted global oil prices.

Additionally, new commercial viability declarations for natural gas fields in Cyprus’ exclusive economic zone highlight growing investment interest in the Eastern Mediterranean’s energy potential.
