Emirates will begin deploying its Airbus A380 superjumbo on the Delhi-Dubai route starting in October, marking a significant capacity increase on one of the airline's most important long-haul corridors.
The move comes as the UAE-based carrier seeks to deepen its footprint in the Indian market, which remains a critical growth engine for Middle Eastern airlines.
The deployment is part of a broader expansion of Emirates' premium economy offerings across India.
By the end of October, the airline plans to offer premium economy seats on four daily services from Delhi, 12 weekly flights from Kolkata, and 22 weekly flights from Mumbai.
This strategic shift aims to capture higher-yield traffic from Indian business and leisure travelers seeking more comfort on long-haul journeys.
