A fire erupted in central Kyiv on Wednesday following an explosion during an active air raid alert.
Emergency services, including firefighters and ambulances, were dispatched to the scene as smoke and flames were observed rising from the area, according to an AFP reporter on the ground.
The latest incident underscores the persistent security risks facing Ukraine's capital.
It follows a massive Russian air strike early Monday that targeted Kyiv, setting a historic monastery ablaze and causing widespread infrastructure damage.
That earlier attack left more than 100,000 residents without electricity and resulted in five confirmed injuries, according to authorities.
Kyiv remains under significant pressure from ongoing aerial bombardments.
