Laugfs Gas has announced a reduction in the price of its liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) cylinders in Sri Lanka, effective from midnight on July 3.

The company confirmed that the price cut applies to its standard 12.5kg cylinders, aligning with a broader regional trend of easing domestic fuel costs.

The move by Laugfs mirrors recent pricing adjustments across South Asia, where lower global feedstock costs are being passed through to consumers.

In India, state-owned oil marketing companies have sharply reduced LPG cylinder prices, marking a significant shift in domestic energy affordability.

Similarly, Pakistan’s federal government implemented a 21.8 percent cut in LPG prices for July, reducing the cost of standard 11.8kg cylinders.

These coordinated reductions reflect the transmission of softer international energy prices to local markets.
