The Muslim World League (MWL) has issued a strong condemnation of Iran's ongoing aggression against several Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) members and Jordan, as well as its targeting of commercial vessels in the region.

The statement, released on Sunday, specifically cited attacks directed at Kuwait, Bahrain, Qatar, the United Arab Emirates, Oman, and Jordan.

The MWL's intervention adds a significant religious and diplomatic dimension to the growing international pressure on Tehran, following similar condemnations from Western allies.

This development follows a joint statement by GCC members and Jordan earlier on Sunday, which described the repeated Iranian assaults as unacceptable.

The coalition's unified stance highlights the severity of the threat to regional stability and maritime security.

Canada also formally condemned Iran's recent attacks on commercial vessels in the Strait of Hormuz, labeling the actions "unacceptable" and "unjustified." Foreign Affairs Minister Anita Anand made the remarks Thursday, signaling that the diplomatic fallout is extending beyond the immediate region.
