The National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) has approved a significant increase in the average generation tariff for the Water and Power Development Authority (WAPDA) hydroelectric power stations.
The regulator authorized a hike of Rs4.65 per unit, representing a 55 percent jump from previous rates, bringing the new average tariff to Rs10 per unit.
