Pakistan Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has arrived in Doha for a one-day visit to extend condolences to Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani.

The premier is accompanied by senior political figures, including former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, former Finance Minister Ishaq Dar, and Senate Leader Attaullah Tarar.

The diplomatic engagement occurs against a backdrop of strengthened economic ties between Islamabad and Doha.

Pakistan recently secured a Memorandum of Understanding with the International Monetary Fund, a development Sharif previously attributed to the steadfast support of the Qatari Emir.

The visit reinforces Qatar's position as a key financial backer for Pakistan's ongoing stabilization efforts.

Beyond bilateral economic relations, the trip coincides with broader regional diplomatic activity.
