Ritchies Transport reported a significant top-line expansion for the fiscal year ending March 2026, driven by increased activity in government and Auckland Transport (AT) contracts.

The New Zealand-based bus operator posted total revenues of NZD 320 million, representing an 18% year-on-year increase.

This growth underscores the company's deepening integration into state-funded public transport networks, which now constitute a critical revenue pillar for the business.

Despite the robust revenue performance, profitability metrics deteriorated.

After-tax losses widened to NZD 11.8 million, almost double the NZD 6.2 million loss recorded in the prior year.

The divergence between top-line growth and bottom-line pressure suggests that the cost structure associated with fulfilling these expanded public transport mandates is outpacing the revenue generated.
