Russian forces struck a fishing vessel converted for deploying unmanned surface vessels (USVs) and a patrol boat in the port of Chernomorsk, Odessa Region, the Russian Defense Ministry reported.

The strikes were carried out using Geran-4 Seeker UAVs, according to the ministry's statement.

The attack highlights the ongoing targeting of Ukrainian maritime infrastructure and assets repurposed for military use.

By focusing on vessels involved in USV operations, Russian forces aim to disrupt Ukraine's ability to project naval power in the Black Sea, a critical theater for both military operations and commercial shipping.

This development follows recent strikes on the Odtrans logistics center and key infrastructure facilities at the Odessa Commercial Sea Port.

The coordinated campaign against port infrastructure in Odessa and Chernomorsk underscores the strategic importance of these hubs for Ukrainian logistics and the persistent risks they face.
