State prosecutors have filed an indictment against Bekhruz Shakhriv Dodobaev, a 33-year-old Tajik citizen, at the Tel Aviv District Court.
The charges stem from allegations that Dodobaev gathered and transmitted sensitive information regarding missile-impact sites, Haifa Port, and facilities belonging to defense contractor Elbit Systems.
Dodobaev is accused of maintaining contact with a foreign agent, widely understood in the context of the charges to be linked to Iranian intelligence operations.
The indictment also includes several other serious criminal counts related to the unauthorized collection of strategic data.
His temporary residency permit in Israel had expired in May, preceding the formal filing of charges.
The case underscores the ongoing security challenges facing Israel's key economic and military assets.
