The Gippsland Basin in South-east Australia is about 200 km east of Melbourne. It covers 46 000 square kilometers. The Otway Basin is approximately 500 kilometers long and covers a 155,000 km2 area from Cape Jaffa in South Australia to north-west Tasmania. Its Cooper Basin segments comprise production and sale of crude oil in its permits within the Cooper Basin, along with exploration and evaluation of additional oil targets.
