Polish energy conglomerate Orlen will increase its imports of liquefied natural gas (LNG) from the United States beginning in the fourth quarter of this year.

Vice President Sławomir Jędrzejczyk confirmed that the ramp-up is in line with long-term contracts signed in previous years, ensuring a steady flow of American gas to the Polish market as winter demand approaches.

The company also indicated that it will complete a major infrastructure project at the turn of the year, bridging 2026 and 2027.

While specific details of the facility were not disclosed in the initial report, the timing suggests a focus on enhancing terminal capacity or regasification capabilities to support the increased volume of incoming cargoes.

This move underscores Orlen’s continued pivot toward diversifying its energy supply base away from traditional sources.

By locking in US LNG volumes through existing agreements, the company aims to bolster energy security and stabilize input costs for its downstream operations.
