Cambodia’s Ministry of Labour and Vocational Training has confirmed the official establishment of 650 new enterprises, companies, and factories.

The ministry highlighted the development as a significant driver for job creation, estimating that the new facilities will generate tens of thousands of positions for the local workforce.

The registration of these entities underscores a continued expansion in the country’s manufacturing base.

For investors monitoring emerging markets in Southeast Asia, the data suggests that capital expenditure and operational setup are accelerating, potentially boosting demand for local industrial services and labor.

This development aligns with a broader global pattern of strengthening employment markets.

Recent data from other major economies has shown similar resilience; for instance, private-sector hiring in the US accelerated in May with 122,000 jobs added, while Australia’s labor market also delivered stronger-than-expected results with unemployment falling to 4.4 percent.
