China has imposed export controls on 10 US companies involved in defence and rare earths mining, Beijing announced Monday.
The move is a direct response to Washington’s recent blacklist of Chinese firms, marking a sharp escalation in the ongoing trade dispute between the two economic powers.
The targeted companies are linked to the US military, according to the Chinese Ministry of Commerce.
By placing these firms on its export control list, Beijing is tightening its grip on critical supply chains, particularly in the rare earths sector, which remains a strategic leverage point in US-China relations.
This latest action brings the total number of US firms under Chinese sanctions to 56.
The expansion of the sanctions regime signals a hardening stance from Beijing as trade tensions persist.
