NOVVA Group has agreed to acquire a solar portfolio from ABO Energy in Colombia, marking a strategic expansion of its renewable energy assets in Latin America.

The transaction strengthens Novva’s position as a global provider of energy infrastructure designed to support artificial intelligence data centers and other high-demand loads.

The acquisition underscores the growing appetite for renewable capacity in emerging markets, where power reliability and green credentials are increasingly critical for tech infrastructure.

By integrating ABO Energy’s Colombian assets, Novva aims to diversify its geographic exposure and secure long-term power supply agreements in a region with significant solar potential.

This move comes amid a period of political transition in Colombia, following Abelardo de la Espriella’s victory in the presidential runoff.

While the new administration’s energy policies remain to be fully defined, the deal suggests that private sector investment in renewables continues to advance regardless of political shifts.
