Saudi Arabia has provided a cumulative total of $23.761 billion in assistance to refugees, visitors, and displaced persons worldwide, according to figures released by the Saudi Gazette.
The bulk of this funding, amounting to $20.430 billion, has been directed toward supporting refugees from Yemen, Syria, Sudan, and the Rohingya minority.
The kingdom notes that refugees currently account for 5.5 percent of Saudi Arabia’s total population.
This disclosure underscores the financial scale of the kingdom’s humanitarian operations amid ongoing regional instability.
The aid comes as logistical difficulties and rising delivery costs persist due to conflicts in the Middle East, complicating relief efforts across multiple countries.
The announcement arrives as Saudi Arabia navigates broader economic shifts, including a recent decline in crude oil exports.
