Access Bank Plc has launched a dedicated small and medium-sized enterprise (SME) application and announced plans to host its first-ever MSME conference.
The move signals a strategic deepening of the lender’s focus on the small business segment, aiming to streamline access to credit and financial services for Nigeria’s vast informal economy.
The new digital tool is designed to simplify the loan application and management process for small business owners, reducing friction in accessing capital.
By launching the app alongside a dedicated conference, the bank is combining product rollout with ecosystem engagement, seeking to build a more robust relationship with its SME client base.
This development follows Access Bank’s recent introduction of AutoFest, a vehicle financing initiative aimed at lowering barriers to car ownership for Nigerian consumers amid high prices and a tightening economic environment.
The bank has also seen leadership changes, with Tajudeen Shobayo recently appointed as Vice Chairman, marking a shift in boardroom composition.
