Adani Enterprises Ltd reported a quarterly net loss on Wednesday, driven by a one-time charge related to a settlement agreement with US authorities.
The infrastructure and energy conglomerate’s profit before exceptional items and tax fell approximately 12% to 12.95 billion Indian rupees, but the bottom line turned negative due to the legal provision.
The result marks the second consecutive quarter of net losses for the company.
In the first quarter of fiscal 2027, Adani Enterprises posted a consolidated net loss of ₹1,160 crore, a sharp reversal from the ₹885 crore profit recorded in the same period the previous year.
The recurring losses highlight the financial weight of ongoing regulatory and legal challenges facing the Adani Group.
The US settlement charge underscores the persistent geopolitical and compliance risks associated with the conglomerate’s global operations.
