The African Export-Import Bank (Afreximbank) has successfully priced a $1.5 billion dual-tranche senior unsecured benchmark Eurobond.

The issuance marks the bank’s first US dollar public bond offering since July 2021 and stands as its largest bond issuance to date.

The deal underscores renewed confidence in African multilateral debt instruments.

By structuring the offering as a dual-tranche benchmark, Afreximbank provided investors with flexible maturity options while establishing a new pricing reference for the region’s export-finance sector.

The successful pricing suggests that demand for high-quality African credit remains resilient despite broader emerging-market volatility.

This move comes as Nigerian government bonds have seen strong bid activity, with recent auctions attracting significant local currency demand.
