ArcelorMittal Liberia (AML) has completed job-readiness assessments for 218 residents from communities bordering its operations in Grand Bassa County.

The assessments, conducted using the Learning Ability Battery (LAB) framework, mark the conclusion of another recruitment cycle aimed at integrating local talent into the company's workforce.

This development follows a similar round of assessments reported earlier in July, indicating a sustained and structured approach to local workforce development.

The move reinforces AML's ongoing efforts to fulfill its social license to operate by prioritizing employment opportunities for those living in the immediate vicinity of its steel production facilities.

By standardizing the evaluation process through the LAB tests, the company aims to ensure that hiring decisions are based on measurable skill sets and potential, rather than informal selection criteria.

This development follows a similar round of assessments reported earlier in July, indicating a sustained and structured approach to local workforce development.

For investors and stakeholders monitoring AML's operational footprint in Liberia, these initiatives serve as a key indicator of the company's commitment to long-term community relations and regulatory compliance in a sensitive operating environment.
