Aumovio has agreed to pay €350 million to BMW to settle a long-running legal dispute over braking systems, a move that sent the supplier’s shares sharply higher in trading.

The agreement ends a significant source of uncertainty for the Frankfurt-based automotive technology firm, which was spun off from Continental AG.

Aumovio has previously outlined ambitious growth targets, including a 45% revenue increase for its Indian subsidiary in fiscal year 2027.

The settlement removes a material litigation risk that had weighed on investor sentiment.

By resolving the conflict with one of its largest customers, Aumovio clears a path to focus on its operational turnaround and growth strategy without the distraction of ongoing legal proceedings.

The payout, while substantial, is viewed by the market as a necessary cost to stabilize the business relationship and balance sheet outlook.
